mental health break ,./'"**^^$_---
I'm not watching Mindcrack Rebirth because I'm over saturated with MC ATM but they pulled a crazy cast.
I think it was a great move, because it gives the server some new life without pulling in new up-and-coming YouTubers. You don't want CC on Mindcrack because CC's like 20 years younger than Guude, but also because CC's channel is like 10 years younger than Guude's. CC has a ton of room to grow and evolve still. If CC's channel continues to grow, he could join Hermitcraft in a year or two. Whereas the people that they actually pulled (that I recognize), ElyBeatmaker, Phedran, Phoenix SC, Mogswamp, Fundy, have all been doing MC and content creation for a heck of a long time. Mindcrack exists in the shadow of Hermitcraft because Mindcrack used to be what Hermitcraft is now. That's why I have to make the comparison to Hermitcraft. So how does Mindcrack find its own identity other than "the SMP that used to be popular"? But also without it becoming "people that want to be in Hermitcraft but aren't popular enough." How do you handle the fact that many of the server members are past their peak popularity while still doing new and exciting things? And it wasn't obvious to me at all, but pulling in new members who are also past the peak of their popularity or who maybe were never going to really have a popularity peak is a great way of recognizing and maintaining the server's mature culture while also injecting new life into the server. Anyways, still not enough to get me to watch a single video lol. 'bout to get into lifesteal.
